Our Box Bag is crafted from the finest vegetable-tanned cow leather.
Vegetable-tanned leather is tanned in barrels manually, following centuries-old tradition, using oak bark and chestnuts. It is naturally dyed and refined with a mixture of natural waxes and oils. Through this particularly gentle manufacturing process, the leather retains many of its natural properties and darkens when exposed to UV radiation.
Vegetable tanning is significantly more environmentally friendly and safer for employees and users than conventional chrome tanning. We only use European raw hides, which are a by-product of the food industry. The leather is manufactured by a tannery founded in 1946 in Santa Croce sull'Arno, Tuscany, specializing in producing the finest leather for the luxury market and supplying some of the most exclusive houses in the world for decades.

HANDCRAFTED in Budapest
Our Box Bag is crafted in Hungary in collaboration with a family-run workshop that has specialized in producing high-quality designer bags for over 25 years. The workshop is located near Budapest in central Hungary, about a 3-hour drive from Vienna, and currently employs around 40 skilled artisans.
Cleaning& Care
Our leather is conditioned at the tannery and well-prepared for everyday use. The main challenge for the leather is the possibility of drying out. Therefore, immediate dirt should always be wiped off from the bag. When not in use for an extended period, it's advisable to protect the bag from dust by storing it in a dust bag. For maximum durability, it's recommended to apply a high-quality leather conditioner to the bag about once a year.
MORE BEAUTIFUL WITH EVERY DAY
Uncoated leather develops a unique patina over time. The lighter the initial color, the more pronounced the patina will become. Any scratches or marks are part of the process and will blend into the leather's appearance after a short time. Through this natural aging, uncoated leather is very robust, durable, and easy to maintain.
