BREATHABLE
Our Chelsea Sneaker is a comfortable everyday shoe for all seasons. To ensure breathability, even in warmer temperatures, it's crafted from nubuck leather. Unlike suede, nubuck utilizes full-grain leather with a sanded surface, making it more breathable.
HEALTHY FOOT CLIMATE
The lining leather of our Chelsea Sneaker is uncoated. This allows it to absorb a significant amount of moisture, keeping your feet dry all around. This creates a healthy climate that prevents long-term foot issues. The cork insole is antibacterial and prevents unpleasant odors.
BLAKE CONSTRUCTION
The Chelsea Sneaker is made using the Blake construction method, known for its use in crafting exceptionally high-quality sneakers. In this process, the lining leather is attached to a fleece and then sewn to the sole. This construction provides the shoe with greater durability compared to conventional sneakers.

Materials& Production
Leather Biocouro from Portugal
Both the upper and lining leather are made from a biodegradable, synthetically tanned cowhide from Portugal, known as Biocouro. The tannery was established in the 90s and is a pioneer in sustainable tanning processes and water treatment in Portugal. It is located about 30 km north of Porto.
The fully integrated tanning process in Europe ensures fair working conditions, controlled use of chemicals and wastewater, and short transportation distances. We only use raw hides that are a byproduct of the food industry.
The embossed leather strip on the heel is made from leather scraps from our bag production.
Handcrafted in Portugal
Our Chelsea Sneaker is produced in collaboration with a family-owned business specializing in crafting high-quality shoes since 1972. The workshop is located near Porto in northern Portugal and currently employs around 50 staff members.
Insole made in Portugal
The cork insole is a natural product made from a renewable resource. It molds to the shape of the foot over time, providing a comfortable step. Cork can effectively absorb moisture, is free from harmful substances, and supports a healthy foot climate. In winter, it also provides insulation and effective protection against cold. Cork bark is harvested from the cork oak tree, native to Portugal.
Natural Rubber Sole made in Portugal
The sole is made from pure natural rubber, a renewable natural resource that doesn't release harmful substances into the environment during its use. It is also cast in Portugal.
Cleaning& Care
If the leather is dirty, it should first be brushed or rubbed while dry. For more stubborn dirt, a damp cloth or a slightly damp brush can be used. During cleaning, avoid using soaps or solvents.
After removing dirt, allow the leather to dry slowly at room temperature. Wet shoes should never be placed on a heater or exposed to direct heat, as this can cause the leather to harden and lose its suppleness. Once the leather is cleaned and dried, it can be cared for with nubuck care products or a light application of silicone spray, followed by brushing with a special nubuck brush to restore the texture.
Excessive shoe care is not recommended. Too many care products can seal the surface and prevent the leather (and your foot) from breathing. We recommend caring for shoes once a month.
