This product is made in collaboration with a Portuguese family-owned business specializing in crafting high-quality women's shoes for decades. The workshop is located near Porto in northern Portugal and currently employs around 60 staff members. 

This product is crafted from soft, vegetable-tanned goat leather sourced from Spain. In the vegetable tanning process, the leather is tanned using chestnut and oak bark, following centuries-old tradition, in a pit. While this process is more labor-intensive than conventional chrome tanning, it is also much gentler on the environment, producers, and ultimately, the feet.

The lining remains in its natural state, entirely uncoated and undyed. This allows it to absorb moisture effectively and promotes a healthy foot climate.

We only use raw hides that are byproducts of the food industry. Tanning in Europe ensures fair working conditions, controlled use of chemicals and wastewater, and short transportation distances.

This shoe is protected by a dust bag made from 100% undyed, unbleached organic cotton. It is screen printed and hand-sewn in Italy.
