Slim Purse - Masure Edition

Our Slim Purse is made from the finest vegetable-tanned cow leather.

Vegetable-tanned leather is tanned in barrels manually, following centuries-old tradition, using oak bark and chestnuts. It's naturally dyed and refined with a mixture of natural waxes and oils. Through this particularly gentle manufacturing process, the leather retains many of its natural properties.

Vegetable tanning is significantly more environmentally friendly and safer for employees and users than conventional chrome tanning. We only use European raw hides, which are a pure by-product of the food industry.

The leather is crafted by the Masure tannery, founded in 1873 in Estaimbourg, Belgium, specializing in producing the finest leather for the luxury market and supplying some of the most exclusive houses in the world for decades. Masure saves approximately 13 million liters of water per year through an innovative tanning process based on water recycling.

This product is manufactured in Budapest in collaboration with a family-owned business that has specialized in the production of high-quality designer bags for about 25 years. The workshop is located near Budapest in the center of Hungary, approximately a 3-hour drive from Vienna, and currently employs around 40 employees
