Materials& Production
Leather vegetable-tanned cowhide leather from Italy
The Uno Bag is crafted from the finest vegetable-tanned cowhide leather.
Vegetable-tanned leather is tanned in barrels manually, following centuries-old tradition using oak bark and chestnut, naturally dyed, and refined with a mixture of natural waxes and oils. This gentle production process preserves many of the leather's natural characteristics and causes it to darken when exposed to UV radiation.
Vegetable tanning is much more environmentally friendly for both the environment and the people involved, compared to conventional chrome tanning. We only use European raw hides, sourced as byproducts of the food industry. The leather is produced by a tannery founded in 1946 in Santa Croce sull'Arno, Tuscany, specializing in crafting the finest leather for the luxury market and supplying some of the most exclusive houses in the world.

Zipper YKK Excella made in Italy
Excella is YKK's premium brand, exclusively manufactured in Italy. Each individual tooth is polished before being applied to the chain to ensure smooth operation and prevent scratching on touch.
Handcrafted in Hungary
This product is made in Hungary in collaboration with a family-owned business that has been specializing in crafting high-quality designer bags for over 25 years. The workshop is located near Budapest in central Hungary, about a 3-hour drive from Vienna, and currently employs around 40 staff members.
Cleaning& Care
The leather is prepared at the tannery and ready for use. The biggest challenge for the leather is drying out. Therefore, it's advisable to wipe off any immediate dirt from the bag and ideally protect it from dust by storing it in a dust bag when not in use for an extended period. For maximum durability, it's recommended to apply a high-quality leather conditioner to the bag about once a year. With use, the leather develops its unique patina and becomes slightly darker. The lighter the initial color, the more pronounced the patina will become.
